FALL IS HERE

September is here! With chilly weather and pumpkin spice returning, the city of Kent and the Roosevelt community is ecstatic to welcome back the autumn season.

Oktoberfest is back downtown “on Saturday, September 25th from 12am-10pm,” according to Kent’s Tree City Bulletin, promising “German food and dancing, seasonal adult beverages, live music and a great time.” Students and parents can enjoy the festivities and the brisk air, with temperatures expected to reach a high of 57 degrees.

Senior Amelie Kohl is particularly excited for the changing weather. “I may have a D in calculus, but at least it’s sweater season!”

Exciting everyone’s taste buds is the return of apples, cider, gourds, and pumpkins to Beckwith’s Orchards. The Kent staple, established in 1878, is open everyday 10am to 5 pm. Stop by and support our city’s small businesses!

This autumn is quickly fleeting, so make the best of the season and enjoy it while it lasts!
